Gastric Sleeve

What is an APM?

(Absorbable Polymer Membrane)

APM is a type of reinforcement to ensure minimal leakage of the surgical site. A study of over 8,900 Sleeve patients show leak rate lowest with reinforcement of the staple line.

The procedure takes only 45-60 minutes.
Usually a one or two night hospital stay.
Performed laparoscopically, through several small incisions. The portion of the stomach to remain is calibrated with a cylindrical tube to ensure symmetry and function at completion of the procedure.
Suppresses the Hunger Hormone (Ghrelin).
There is no additional Surgeon fee for the staple line reinforcement with APM. The weight loss associated with this procedure helps improve Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Cholestrol and more.
