Do you qualify?

Research confirms the benefits of weight loss surgery. You could be a candidate if you meet any of the following:

  • You are more than 100 lbs overweight
  • You have a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 40
  • You have a BMI over 35 and have either diabetes, high blood pressure or sleep apnea or similar other medical condition
  • You have a BMI of 30-34.9 and major medical condition, per FDA you could be a candidate for the Lap-Band as a self pay patient

Most insurance companies that provide coverage for weight loss surgery follow the above guidelines with their own added modifications. We have experienced personnel to help you navigate the process with minimal roadblocks.

To qualify for weight loss surgery, if insured, you will need to satisfy the criteria requirements of your insurer. We will get those criteria and discuss them with you at your first visit. If self paying, criteria of the National Institute of Health will be followed, and we will also discuss those with you. The FDA has approved Lap-Band usage for patients with a BMI of 30 if they are being treated for major medical issues such as Diabetes, Cholesterol Elevation, High Blood Pressure, and/or Sleep Apnea.
